Jesse M. Garcia's Obituary
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Jesse Moraida Garcia, of Big Spring, Texas. On June 27, 2022, he peacefully reunited with his beloved daughter, Leslie Marie Garcia, in Heaven. He was 67 years old.
Jesse spent his entire career working for respected opticals in both Big Spring and San Antonio, Texas as a certified optician. He was excellent at his job and kind to everyone he met. He will be lovingly remembered as a man who gave everything he could to those around him. He enjoyed watching sports and especially loved the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He also enjoyed music and loved Elvis Presley, Little Joe y la familia, and George Strait the most. He was an excellent dancer and always had a big smile on his face whenever he was around his friends and family. He was kind-hearted and loved making people laugh. No one was a stranger to him. He made sure to make everyone feel welcomed and included. Never to be forgotten, Jesse's memory will be cherished forever and he will be dearly missed. May he finally be at peace.
He is preceded in death by his treasured daughter, Leslie M. Garcia and is survived by his 3 other children Jesse Garcia Jr., Jennifer Halfacre, and LeAnn M. Garcia. He leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by both parents, Felix Garcia Sr. and Esther M. Garcia, as well as by 4 brothers: Joe Garcia, Felix Garcia Jr., Raymond Garcia, Albert Garcia and 2 sisters: Jo Anne Silguero, and Mary Esther Hernandez. He is survived by 5 brothers: Freddie Garcia, Daniel Garcia (Frances), Bobby Garcia, Edward Garcia (Joann), Abel Garcia (Annette) and 1 sister: Mary Dolores Bustamante, all of Big Spring, Texas. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 6, from 2:30-8:00 pm at Castillo Funeral Home. Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm followed by a eulogy from Felix Garcia III.
Funeral mass will be Thursday, July 7, at St. Jude Catholic Church with a burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
