Enrique Garza passed away on September 25, 2024. He was 78 years old. He was born in Monterrey, México, on August 23, 1946.

In the spring of 1965, he married his childhood sweetheart, Ofelia Torres Garza, who preceded him in death in 2021. In 1970, he and Ofelia, fulfilled their dream of immigrating to the United States to fulfill the promise of the American Dream. He and Ofelia had five children. Enrique always had an entrepreneurial spirit and started his own contracting business to provide for his family. Later in life, he fulfilled another dream - to live in the countryside. He moved to Atascosa, Texas and opened the Trail Riders Bar. He found peace in feeding his cattle and taking care of his 'rancho,' providing his five children, 13 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren a tranquil bit of land that they could always come "home" to.

Enrique is loved and will be missed by his children, Jesús Enrique Garza Jr., Yolanda Garza Lopez (Joaquin Lopez Sr.), Zoreida Garza, Asalia Garza, and Cynthia Thomas; 13 grandchildren; Alejandra Garza Lopez (Luke Amphlett), Renee Delgado (Robert Martinez), Raven Delgado, Jasmyne Thomas, Daniella Garza Lopez (Cameron Monroe), Aren Rendon, Andres Delgado Jr., Joaquin Lopez Jr., Ruben Rendon IV, Apollo Thomas, Alexis Rendon, Lawryn Delgado, and Ryan Thomas; great-grandchildren Seth Martinez, Rain Martinez, and Katiana Lopez; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. He will live forever in our hearts.
