Jesus (Jesse)
S. Hernandez
August 30, 1943 – August 10, 2021
Jesus (Jesse) S. Hernandez, born august 30,1943, was called home to heaven on August 10,2021. He was one of 12 children, born and raised on the west side of San Antonio. He worked 27 years for Columbia 300 industries, changing the look of bowling balls forever. He also worked 5 plus years at Alamo paint and body as a porter, making friends wherever he went. Though he took pride at his workplace, his passion was driving his tow truck around town, keeping it shiny and clean like everything else, always. Jesse was always there to lend a helping hand, not asking for anything much in return. He could do and would do anything he put his mind to. He loved staying busy with home improvement projects, whether his home or the home of someone else. He had a natural knack for carpentry and a sharp eye for measuring. He loved math and numbers, hot rods, dancing and singing to 50's music. He liked to play pranks and loved to tell jokes and stories, lighting up the room wherever he went. In his spare time at home, you could always find him watching baseball, car races, or hot rod shows relaxed with his feet and arms up, as comfortable as he could be. He loved pizza and never turned down a hamburger with a side of Fritos.
His endless acts of patience, kindness, and compassion didn't go unnoticed, but the biggest place in his heart was for his family. Without a single doubt, Jesse always put his family's needs as priority. There were no limits on making things happen to make his girls happy and taken care of. He was a wonderful husband, a fantastic father, and an absolutely amazing grandfather. He will be immensely missed, but never ever forgotten.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Connie; their daughters Julianne, Patricia, and Christine; grandchildren Jaclyn, Christian, and Kaitlyn, and his grand dogs that he loved so much: Emerson, Dakota, Alli, Molly, Jada, Bowser, and Olive.
