Jesse R. Vasquez Jr. passed away on March 27, 2026, at the age of 64. He was born on May 15, 1961, in San Antonio, Texas, to Jesus and Gloria Vasquez. He proudly served his country as a veteran of both the United States Army and the United States Marine Corps, serving four years in each branch and receiving an honorable discharge after fulfilling his terms of service. His primary specialty was a Marine Corps Combat Engineer and was last stationed with the 1st Combat Engineer Battalion, known as "The Super Breed." Following his military service, he worked in various roles, including as a security officer. Outside of work, he enjoyed the simple things—watching action and martial arts movies, listening to rock music, and spending time in his own way doing what made him happy. Jesse is now reunited in eternal rest with his parents and younger brother, Robert R. Vasquez. He also leaves behind a family who loved him deeply which includes his children, Angela Marie Vasquez, Jesse Vasquez III, and Malcolm Alexander Chase Vasquez; his grandson, Ethan Xavier Vasquez; his siblings, Javier Vasquez, Iris V. Luna, Charles A. Vasquez, and Jose G. Gonzales, III; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends who will continue to carry his memory forward. Jesse will be remembered for his strength, service, and the quiet ways he showed up in the lives of those who knew him. He will live forever in our hearts. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
