Jesus Eduardo Zapata de Lira, went to be with the Lord on January 3, 2024, at the age of 95. He is survived by his children; Maria Irma Todd, Juan E Zapata, Leonardo D Zapata, Francisco X Zapata, Felipe Zapata and Maria Guadalupe Gonzales, Sisters; Angela, Juana, Patrocinio, Consuelo, Brothers; Arturo, Esequiel, Enrique and Eliseo Zapata de Lira; 6 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin on Thursday January 18, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service to be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday evening. The funeral procession will depart on Friday January 19, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. mass at Christ the King Catholic Church.  Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery #2.
