Jesusa G. Mendez was called into the Lord's arms on Saturday, March 23, 2024, at the blessed age of 89. Jesusa was born on July 21, 1934, in Wetmore, Texas, to the late Jesus and Lucia Gutierrez. Jesusa was a loving Wife and Mother that took care of her family through thick & thin. She was the best grandmother and great- grandmother that a child could ask for. She had a great memory and would never forget a face. Jesusa was a great cook and always made sure everyone had enough to eat. She was loved by all who knew her and will be dearly missed. Jesusa is reunited in Heaven with her parents Jesus and Lucia Gutierrez, siblings Gloria Bernal, Consuelo Morado, Rosa Morado, Altamisa Montoya, Esperanza Campos, Margarita Avilez, David Gutierrez, and Victor Gutierrez; and grandsons JoseValenzuela and Gabriel Valenzuela. Jesusa leaves behind her loving Husband of 69 years Luis Mendez; her children Jerry Mendez (Tina), Maria Valenzuela (Joe), Joe Mendez (Dora), Jesse Mendez, Paul Mendez, Eduardo Mendez (Debbie), Abel Mendez, and Anna L. Patlan (Tony); 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, numerous great great-grandchildren, extended family and friends. Vistation will take place on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 4:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. Service to conclude Friday evening.
