JoAnn H. Hernandez entered the gates of Heaven on  October 18, 2021, at the age of 58.  She was born in San Antonio, Texas to Jesse Sr. and Sylvia Hutchinson on July 21, 1963.

JoAnn is reunited in Heaven with her Father Jesse Sr., brother Jesse Hutchinson Jr., and Maternal grandmother Irene Garza. JoAnn will be dearly missed by her Husband, Rudy Hernandez; Mother Sylvia G. Hutchinson; siblings Debra L. Holguin (Ralph), Lisa Hutchinson (Raul Trevino), and Michelle Hutchinson (Mario Ortiz); nieces and nephews Samantha, Kellie, Jesse Jared, Mario Kristian; and great-nieces Elaina and Natalie, as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Visitation will take place at Castillo Mission Funeral Home on Monday, November 8, 2021 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with The Holy Rosary to be recited at 6:00pm. On Tuesday, November 9, 2021, family and friends will meet for a Funeral Mass at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 159 Camino Santa Maria, San Antonio, Texas 78228 at 10:00 am. Interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.

JoAnn had a contagious smile and a beautiful heart. She loved children and always made sure all of her little ones (nephews and nieces) knew how much she loved them. She had many, many friends, who now have great memories of their times together. JoAnn was humble, loving, kind, smart, and the best wife, daughter, and sister anyone could ask for. We are so  grateful the Lord placed her in our lives, she will be missed.
