Joe V. Barrientez was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the age of 59. He was born November 27th, 1964 in San Antonio, TX. He was welcomed into heaven by his parents Louie and Velia Barrientez as well as his siblings Teena, Daniel, and Ralph.

He is loved and will be greatly missed by his wife of the last 34 years, Margaret Barrientez. His children Michael Swan (Jacob), Mark Swan, Valerie Regalado (Richard), and Jovanna Barrientez will always cherish their homie's wise words. His grandchildren Lina and Steven Swan, Emmalee Casanova, Jax and Leilani Regalado will continue to share the love he poured into them. His siblings Anthony Barrientez (Blanche), David Barrientez (Carol), Kenneth Barrientez, Louie Barrientez (Rose), Michael Barrientez; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends will continue to bring that Barrientez laughter into the world.

Heaven has gained a treasured, wholesome soul. He was a constant source of light, joy, and laughter to anyone he encountered. He will forever be Joe Cool.
