Joe G. Martinez was called home to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at the blessed age of 82. Joe was born to Esises & Juanita Martinez on November 5, 1938 in San Antonio, Texas. In 1963 Joe married the love of his life, Mary Jo, and together they spent 58 years of blissful marriage. Not only did Joe love his family, he loved to help serve his community. Joe was a 4 ^th degree Knight, leading The Knights of Columbus Council #07697.

Joe is reunited in Heaven with his parents, brother Luis G. Martinez and sister-in-law Viola P. Martinez. Joe leaves his legacy in the hearts and actions of his beloved wife of 58 years Mary Jo Martinez; daughter Rita A. Martinez; nieces & nephews Luis Martinez Jr (Elizabeth)., Elsie Martinez Houston, Sally Martinez Ritchie (Todd), and Ricky Martinez (Mary Beth). Joe was a wonderful man; he will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 from 2:30pm until 6:00pm with The Holy Rosary to be recited at 3:00pm. Family and friends will depart at 9:15am on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 for a 10:00am Mass at St. John Berchman's Catholic Church. Interment to follow at San Fernando II Cemetery.
