Joe Julian
"J.J" Moreno
September 7, 1963 – August 6, 2020
Joe Julian "J.J" Moreno entered eternal rest on August 6, 2020 at the blessed age of 56. He was born on September 7, 1963 in San Antonio, TX, to Arturo and Elvira Moreno. He was a proud graduate from John F. Kennedy High School, Class of '81. He worked several years for the Department of Transportation, the City Water Board and finished his career as a long-haul truck driver and had the opportunity to travel all across the United States. He was a parishioner of St. John Berchman's Catholic Church and loved being a part of the ACTS family where he cherished his ACTS brothers and sisters. He greatly enjoyed BBQing whenever he had a chance to do so, as well as cheering on the Dallas Cowboys and the San Antonio Spurs. He will be remembered for his wisecracks and unique laugh. He is reunited in heaven with his mother Elvira. He is loved and will be greatly missed by his longtime companion Helen Popovich; father Arturo M. Moreno, siblings Arthur R. Moreno (Theresa), Teresa Ann Rizo (Tommy), Xavier G. Moreno (Vanessa), Moses G. Moreno (Cindy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members. The Family would like to thank the team of The Kidney Treatment Center for the many years of treatment and care they provided him. He will live forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
