Joe M. Martinez passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on January 12th, 2024

He is survived by his loving wife, Irma, his son Steven Martinez and wife Kelli, and daughter Jessica Gonzales and husband Adrian, and four grandchildren, Treble, Nicolas, Kylee, and Beatriz, his mother, Amelia Martinez, and sisters, Sylvia Martinez and husband Ernesto, and Raquel Pantoja, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Manuel Martinez and brother, Jesus Rogelio Martinez.

Joe was an Air Force veteran, who received his Bachelor of Science and certificate for cytology while in the service of his country. He and Irma married on November 28th,1980 and recently celebrated their 43rd anniversary. His life impacted many whom he met both, personally and professionally, by his strength of character and deep well of kindness. He was a rugged outdoorsman and a gentle poetic soul. He was unassuming but unforgettable. Joe was a complex and multifaceted person who leaves an unfillable hole in the life of those who loved him.
