Joe R. Rios passed away peacefully on April 9, 2023, surrounded by the warmth and love of his family.  He was 81 years old.  He was born in San Antonio, Texas, on March 19, 1942.

On August 21, 1960, he married his childhood sweetheart, Dolores M. Rios, who preceded him in death on May 10th, 2010.  He retired from St. Mary's University and enjoyed the memories he created with his family throughout his lifetime.  Most precious to Joe was his faith in God.  He will surely be missed.

Joe is loved and will be missed by his daughter Carolyn Rios; daughter Alice Rodriguez (Juan); daughter Karen Camp (Richard); daughter Katherine Alfonso (Charles); daughter Anastacia Sepulveda (Richard); son Joe M. Rios, Jr.; son Jesse Rios (Valerie); son Shayne Bossard; daughter Patricia Linares (Rolando); 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and extended family and friends.
