Joe Stephen Ramirez, age 71, went home to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on December 16, 2021. He was born on January 17, 1950, in San Antonio, Texas to Jose and Maria Ramirez. He was a loving husband and father who cherished his children and grandchildren, praying always that they would all come to know and love the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. What he treasured most, was spending time with family, mostly by setting out on caravans with both immediate and extended family. As a young boy, Steve loved the outdoors, sitting by a campfire in the backyard, camping at Garner State Park, going to the beach, swimming at lakes and rivers, all the while, teaching the children and grandchildren how to camp, fish and hunt. Steve's heart was always to be with his family; he was a true leader at home and in the workplace.  Steve will always be remembered as a father who taught his family the true meaning of love; this is his legacy.  He is survived by his wife Rosalie Diana Ramirez, children, Joseph Stephen Ramirez and wife Stephanie, Robert Adam Ramirez, Deborah Diane Cordova and husband Daniel, Michele Annette Fuentes, Michael Paul Ramirez and wife Sonia, Stephanie Denise Flores and husband Erick; eighteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and his brother Henry Ramirez.

Visitation begins at 5pm, followed by the service at 6pm on December 28, 2021, at Castillo Funeral Home 530 N. General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, Texas 78228
