Joe Salas, Jr. passed away on August 7, 2022. He was 73 years old. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on February 8, 1949. Joe was a graduate of Luther Burbank High School in 1969. He started education in plumbing but changed his career to follow in his father's business in the auto recycling business. He managed his own shop, Auto World on New Laredo Hwy for over 25 years.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joe Salas, Sr. just less than a month on July 11, 2022, his mother, Delfina in 2008, and his beloved uncle Manuel Salas in 2015.

Joe will be missed by his beloved partner of 34 years, Belinda Lopez Limon, their children Andre Almendarez, fiancé, Ashley Velez and their son Jaxie Kristiano Acosta, Adrean Almendarez and their son Aaron Limon Salas.  His children, Leticia Luna and husband Fernando, Vanessa Salas and partner David Valle, Joey Salas, wife Melissa and their mother Norma Salas. Grandchildren, Fernando Luna, fiancé Leah Carrasco, Angelina Luna, Alexandria Luna, David Anthony Valle, Nathan Valle, Maxine Valle, Emery Salas and Paxton Joe Salas. Sisters, Delfina Vallejo (David), Linda Garcia (Steven), brothers, Mike (Clara) and Eddie Salas (Lorraine). Special aunts, Consuelo (Chelo), Gonzalez, Lile Salas, Rosa Gauna, and Maria Garza. Numerous nephews and nieces. Especially his godson David Joseph Vallejo.
