Joel was in a tragic accident at the age of 19 and that made it difficult to do things the way he wanted, but he was very independent and did what he needed to do to make things happen. He was very smart and had the biggest heart for everyone he loved. Joel loved his family very much and they meant the world to him, and most important his one and only son, who he adored and was his whole world. He loved going to the movies and days at the park with his sisters' nieces, nephew and his son. He loved betting on sports and San Antonio Spurs were his team. He enjoyed watching his sister cook and trying different kinds of food as well as deep conversations. He was always there to answer your call if you had a bad day and gave great advice. He enjoyed conversations and play fighting with his niece and his tattoos all meant something special. His relationship with the many friends he had was love. He loved and cared about all of them as if they were family and the mark he left will never be forgotten. He was the definition of a real one! He loved hard and made history in all our hearts.
