John Andrew Arguello, born October 3, 1969 in San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, August 17, 2020 at the age of 50. John proudly served his country as a dedicated soldier in the United States Army. John's attention to detail and diligence aided him in building a career as an aviation mechanic and becoming a jack of all trades. John also had a passion for reading books about history and philosophy.
John was very devoted and loyal to his family and friends. He was always willing to help someone in need. John was a great friend and was loved by many.
John is survived by his parents, Armando T. and Lucia Arguello, sisters, Margaret A. Garcia (Jose), and Christina Dewald; brother, Christopher Michael Arguello (Elizabeth); paternal grandmother, Magdalena T. Arguello; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 31, 2020 at Immaculate Conception Church, 314 Merida Street, from 10-11am, with a rosary to be recited at 11am and Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11:30am. Committal services will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
