On January 10, 2025, at the age of 60, John Navaira Perez was called home by his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

John was born on August 5, 1964, in Compton, California. He proudly became a veteran after honorably serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.

A long-time resident of San Antonio, Texas, John began his career in the food service and hospitality industry, working as a kitchen manager at the Marriott and Jim's restaurants. He later served as a Bible teacher and bus driver at El Sendero Christian Academy, sharing his faith and positively impacting many lives. In his free time, John was an avid Harley-Davidson rider and became certified as a Harley-Davidson mechanic, a testament to his love for motorcycles.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel R. Perez Jr. and Otila Navaira Perez, and his brother, Gilbert Navaira. He is survived by his children: Bernard, Jeramy, Bianca, Bethany, and Johnny; his grandchildren; his brothers: Manuel III, Luis, and Joe; his sisters: Olga, Rita, Mary Helen, Henrietta, Herlinda, Diane, and Lisa Michelle; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Johnny's heart was full of love for his children and family. In his honor, we graciously ask everyone to remain respectful and courteous to one another during this very difficult time.
