John (Blue) Torres, passed away on December 5, 2024, at the age of 75 surrounded by the warmth and love of his sister, Cecilia, and daughter, Misty at his great nephew, Mark (Katie) Schultz home.

Born on November 21, 1949, Blue grew up with a strong sense of duty and service. He answered the call to serve his country during the Vietnam War, enlisting in the United States Army. As a proud member of the 173rd Airborne Brigade, he demonstrated unwavering courage and commitment, earning the respect and admiration of his fellow soldiers.

After his honorable discharge, Blue returned home and dedicated himself to his family. He found solace in his beloved Corvettes, spending countless hours restoring and customizing these iconic American muscle cars with his daughter. In his final months, Blue would enjoy spending time outside watching his great great nephews play.

Blue is survived by his sister, Cecilia Hahn, children Misty BlueTorres, Johnny Blue Torres, Anna Marie Torres, Adam Torres, Felicity Torres, Julie Torres and JJ Torres, nephews Charles (Pauline) Schultz, Terry Schultz, John (Lisa) Zambrano, Dennis Zambrano, Russel Zambrano, and many other nieces, nephews, grandkids, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents Ralph and Chonita Torres, brother Ralph Torres, and sister Lola Zambrano. He will be deeply missed by his fellow veterans, friends, and car enthusiasts who shared in his passion.

Rest in peace, Blue. Your bravery, patriotism, and love for life will never be forgotten.
