Jonathan David Rey Trevino, born on February 15, 1989, was called home to be with our Lord on August 22,2022, at the age of 33. He is reunited in Heaven with his grandfather, Reynaldo R. Trevino Sr and his uncle, Octaviano Rivera Trevino. Jonathan is loved and will be greatly missed by his parents, Florinda Palacios Trevino and Reynado R. Trevino Jr.; siblings, Hope Trevino and her husband, Rafael Hernandez, Debra Trevino, Destiny Trevino and Daniel Trevino; niece, Sapphire Hernandez; as well as numerous other loving relatives and friends.

Jonathan graduated from Oliver Wendell Holmes High School at the top of his class in 2007. He also received a BFA with Honors in photography from Parsons The New School of Design in New York. Jonathan loved nature and life. His curiosity as a child about life led him to discover unique ways at looking at the world as an adult in the art world. LGBTQ rights, human rights and Mexican American rights were a big part of his work and message as a Mexican American and member of the LGBTQ community.

He was an alumnus of the art program "Say Si" and gave back to the community by donating his art pieces to their fundraisers.

Jonathan loved his family and friends very much. Family was also one of the most important things to him. He was always the one to bring the family together for gatherings and birthdays. Jonathan will continue to bring us together with the love and vision he left behind.

Jonathan was a beautiful person, with a passion for art, life and family. He captured beautiful images as a photographer and visual artist, and left an imprint in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Jonathan was strong, stubborn, loving, brilliant, unique, wise, giving, kind and always willing to help those around him. Jonathan will be forever missed and his vision and spirit will never be forgotten.
