Jorge Alejandro Arellano was born on April 23, 1953 in Villa Unión, Coahuila. He passed surrounded with love on December 14, 2023. He is preceded in death by his parents Domitila Duran Vasquez, Alejandro Arellano Esquivel, and his sisters Maria Teresa Arellano, Alma Gloria Valadez, and Dora Elia Arellano. He will be missed by his surviving siblings Irma Alicia Arellano, Rosalinda Arellano Rodriguez , Sergio Jesus Arellano, and Domitila "Tila" Arellano.

Jorge was a devoted and loving husband to Juanita Arellano (Jaquiz) . They met on her birthday, married soon after and remained by each other's sides for over 50 years. He was a loving father to his sons George Alexander Arellano (Sandra), Vicente Arellano (Andrea), Angel Arellano (Jacquelyn) and Daughter Theresa Arellano. He was grandfather to seven: Carlos, Mikaela, Jacob, Savanah, Angel, Aidyn, and Lucas. He was also great-grandfather to Madelyn, Clementine, and Jake Teo. Not to mention, the dozens of other kids he would help take care of that called him "grandpa".

Jorge worked as a skilled laborer for over 25 years where he learned framing, carpentry, construction, and machine operating. He also dabbled in mechanics fixing his own vehicles and helping his children with their vehicles. When he wasn't working Jorge enjoyed traveling, camping, family baseball games at the park, fishing (once caught a fish with his bare hands), sharing a cold drink over "radioactive chicken" (that he would burn just right), and just spending time with his family.  He loved to dance and sang out loud when the opportunity arose. He worried often about everyone in his orbit but was happy and full of life and love. At home he relaxed by watching his shows (wrestling and novelas) and enjoyed cooking with our mom for his loved ones. Even after 50 years he would still remind our mom "¿Le echaste orégano?".  Jorge was always there to help anyone and everyone and we will miss the hearty laugh and big smile that came with his consejos.

Jorge's Memorial service will be held at Castillo Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 pm on Monday, January 1, 2024. Mass will be held at St. Gabriel Catholic Church Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at 10:00 am. The funeral procession to San Fernando Cemetary III will follow after the mass.
