In loving memory of Jorge Hugo Sierra

September 2, 1979 -  October 21, 2021

Jorge Hugo Sierra, 42 of Waco, entered into the arms of our Saviour on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas surrounded by his loving wife Lisa, his parents and siblings. Jorge was born in Waco, Texas to Hugo and Blanca Sierra.  He attended Waco schools and graduated from Waco High where he was a member of the baseball team.  Jorge loved playing and watching baseball. He played catcher, first base, pitcher and third base from the time he played for Northern Little League until his graduation from Waco High. After graduation, Jorge enlisted in the Army and began a long and adventurous career in the army.  He was stationed in Ft Hood, Germany, Georgia and Arizona. Jorge met the love of his life, Lisa Jeannette Sierra while in Ft Hood. Together they began their beautiful life in 2006.  Jorge and Lisa had three beautiful children, Julyssa Arianna 14, Caleb Aiden 8 and Gavin Jacob 5.

Jorge was an avid sports fan. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports including baseball, football, boxing and soccer. He was a die hard fan of the Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers. He enjoyed going on roller coaster rides with his children, family hikes but most of all he enjoyed making family trips memorable. Jorge and his family traveled every opportunity they had and loved exploring new places. He would always say that he lived for his wife and children. Jorge proudly served his beloved country in the US Army for 13 years. In those 13 years, he completed 3 tours to Iraq then transitioned and became a government contractor.

Jorge is survived by his loving wife Lisa, his sons Gavin and Caleb and daughter Julyssa.  His parents Hugo and Blanca Sierra, sister Blanca Centeno and husband Mario, sister Yadira Ramirez and husband Francisco and brother Edgar Sierra all of Waco, Texas. Jorge is also survived by his nieces Alexa and Nadia Ramirez, nephews Kevin Centeno, Michael and Marcos Ibanez.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio, Tx 78228 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 6:00 p.m.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, November 18th at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 7893 Grissom Rd, San Antonio, Tx. Burial to follow at Ft Sam Houston National Cemetery at 11:30 am.
