Jose Elias Avilez passed away peacefully at the young age of 57 on February 28, 2025, his brother Juan Antonio was by his side. Jose was born in San Antonio, Texas, on September 11, 1967.

Jose graduated from Fox Tech High School in 1986.  He proudly served for 38 years at University Health as a Health Information Representative.  He was a lifelong fan of the San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Cowboys.  Jose enjoyed playing pool and darts while listening to Tejano music.

Jose was preceded in death by his parents; Elias and Nohemi Avilez. Jose is survived by his brother; Juan Antonio Avilez, his sister-n-law; Judy Avilez and his niece and nephew; Nohemi and Juan Antonio Avilez II.

Jose has made it home and his memory will live forever in our hearts.  Jose is loved and will be greatly missed by his family, friends and co-workers.
