Obituary

Jose T. Caballero "Joe", 60, entered eternal rest on Wednesday September 29, 2021. Joe was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas on March 11, 1961. He worked in the medical field as a personal caregiver for many years because he loved everyone. He was the most giving and loving person and was perfect for his career. He was loved and respected by his clients and their families as well as the medical staff. Joe loved life and laughter. If you knew Joe, then you were always laughing and enjoying his company. Joe also loved Halloween and Christmas. He lived for these two holidays and was like a kid at a candy and toy store. He loved to get in costume and would start working on his own designs. One year he was a French clown another year he was a Roman and another year he was a Pharoah. He would really live the character he was dressed as. He also loved gatherings and escorting friends to their functions. He loved dressing up and did a great job at it as well. Most importantly he lived and worked hard for his loved ones. Joe loved his family and friends so very much. You could feel and see his genuine love. He was an extraordinary man with the most beautiful soul.

His eternal legacy as a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, partner and friend shall forever be forged in the hearts, souls and memories of everyone he met. Godspeed and Vaya con Dios Jose.

Joe is proceeded in death by his beloved mother Maria Elena T. Reyna, sister Juanita T. Caballero. Grandparents Feliciana and Lucas Pena and his "besties" Virginia Zavala, Debra Hernandez and Rebecca (Becky) Zamora. He is survived by his father Ruben R. Reyna, partner Chris Gaona, his aunt Janie Jacobo, sister Guadalupe T. Escobar, brother David T. Caballero and Josie Alvarado, sister Estella Marie R. Garcia and husband Hilario Garcia, brother John T. Reyna and wife Christine Granado, sister Jamie Lynn Reyna, sister Joann and husband Eliseo Martinez, brother Jose Angel and wife Donna Jean Caballero, numerous nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends.

"Our joys will be greater. Our love will be deeper. Our life will be fuller because we shared your moment."
