Jose Rivera Carmona, aged 83, passed away peacefully on Monday August 19th, 2024, in San Antonio, he was surrounded by his Children.
Jose Carmona was a concrete finisher, with 53 years of experience in Construction. He was a respected member of his profession and known for his hard work and loyalty. He was a devoted family man, who loved his 5 children, 10 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren above all else.
In his free time, Jose enjoyed working on his yard, which brought him great joy and relaxation. His vibrant spirit illuminated every room he entered, his fun-loving nature made him the life of any gathering, ensuring everyone enjoyed themselves. He had a passion for playing music, dancing, and storytelling. For 53 years, Jose dedicated himself to his work at Niznik Construction, making sure his family never went without. A diligent provider and devoted family man, his laughter and love ensured he would always be remembered.
Jose R. Carmona is survived by his children, Patricia Salinas husband Roland, Maria Carmona husband Alfonso Acosta, Jose Carmona Jr wife Monica, Juanita Rodriguez husband Cornelio and Veronica Torres husband Adam. He is also survived by his Brother Adolfo Carmona wife Maria and Sister Benita Carmona de Trevino. He had 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on August 26th, 2024, at 4PM. Mass at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church at 9AM, 4603 St. John's Way, San Antonio, Tx. Interment to follow at Sunset Memorial Park on 1701 Austin Hwy, San Antonio, Tx.
Jose Carmona will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy will live on through his family and friends.
