On Thursday, April 8, 2021, Jose Angel Castilleja, 60, of San Antonio passed away at his residence.

He was born August 2, 1960, in Romeo Michigan, the son of Emilio and Hermenia (Palafos) Castilleja.

Jose was an incredibly hard worker who worked as a skilled carpenter for many years. Jose loved fishing, drinking, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be remembered for being the life of the party, no matters whose party it was.

Jose is preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Ann Castilleja. Together, they shared 41 years of marriage. Jose is also proceeded in death by his father: Emilio Castilleja, brother: Johnny Castilleja, and sister: Beatrice C. Zuniga.

Family members include a son: Jojo Castilleja, son: Jerry Castilleja (Lupe Castilleja), daughter: Jessica Rodriguez (Tito Rodriguez), daughter: Amanda Castilleja.

Grand Children: Adrian, Carlos, Patricia, Alicia, Joe, Yvonne, Alazay, Jerry Jr., Miranda, Gage, Kailani, Tito Jr., Luke, Ryder, Makayla, Aaden, Natalia, Anthony, Lorenso, Gabriel, Xzavier, Elias, Joziah.

Great Grand Children: Patrick, Royal, Ezra, Ryan, Ezekiel, Allie.

Siblings for Mr. Castilleja include a brother, Ernest Castilleja and sister, Mary Salvidar.

Visitation will be conducted from 330p to 730p Monday, April 26, 2021 at Castillo Mission Funeral Home with a Rosary at 600p.

Funeral Mass will be held 1030a on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with burial to follow in Mission Park South Cemetery.
