Jose Chavez Lopez, born March 17, 1945, was called home on January 3, 2022 at the age of 76.  Pepe, as his family called him, is preceded in death by his parents Celestino and Edubijes Chavez Lopez, siblings Matias, Santiago, Benancio, Guadalupe, Nicolasa, Juana, Ercilia, Donicio, and Pedro Lopez. He is survived by his siblings Jesus, Isabel, Rosa, and Consuelo Lopez.  Jose Lopez will be greatly missed and eternally loved by his only child, his daughter Dinah Lopez Estrada and her husband Jesus Estrada; grandchildren Thomas Estrada and William and wife Debora Estrada; great grandchildren David and Isabella Estrada as well as by numerous loving family and friends including his best friend and mother of his daughter Lucy Teniente, or Lucille as he called her. Jose was a proud and hardworking man who tirelessly dedicated his life to his Catholic faith and his daughter. His goodness and generosity lives on through his daughter and grandchildren and he will forever remain their protector and guiding light.

Visitation will take place on Monday, January 17, 2022 from 3:30pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary to begin at 6:00pm. Family and friends will depart in procession at 9:30am on Tuesday, January 18, 2022 for a 10:00am Mass at San Juan De los Lagos. Burial to follow at San Fernando II Cemetery.
