On Monday December 8, 2025, Jose Angel Colunga was called home to be with our Lord, at the age of 88. He is reunited in Heaven with his Wife Rebecca Colunga and daughter Sylvia Olvera, grandchildren Anthony and Frankie Camacho and Andrew Ybarra.

Born on December 6, 1937, in San Antonio, Texas, Jose loved the Lord and instilled in his family the importance of God, Church, and family values. He worked for the City of San Antionio for over 30 years. He was a jack of all trades and master of none.

He accomplished much in life and will be remembered for the way he lived his life as a man, never afraid of life's obstacles and celebratory of its successes. His time with family were moments he treasured most. He was full of life and love.

Jose is loved and will be greatly missed by his children, Diane Colunga, Joe A. Colunga Jr., and his wife Pearl, Antonia Maria Bernal and husband Jerry, David R. Colunga and wife Mercy and Robert Colunga; grandchildren, Isabel Longoria, Dorothy A. Almendarez, Michelle Colunga, Elizabeth Colunga, Robert Colunga Jr., Nathaniel Rene Colunga, Ray Alexander Colunga, Roland Ybarra, Diane Sanchez, Monica Gomez, Raul Rodriguez, JoAnn Cisneros, Priscilla Davila, Yvonne Bernal, Amanda Olvera, Alexander Olvera and Yeshua Olvera as well as numerous great grandchildren and other loving relatives and friends.

Rest in peace dad you are finally reunited with your beautiful wife.
