It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jose Santiago De Anda, who departed from this world on 01/04/2024. Jose was born on August 20th, 1972, to Ma. Teresa Montes Ramirez and Jose De Anda Sr. in Salamanca, Guanajuato, Mexico. A son, brother, friend, and confidant, he touched the lives of those around him with his warmth, kindness, and unwavering sense of humor. Whether it was sharing stories from his youth, imparting wisdom, or simply making others laugh, Jose had an incredible ability to leave a lasting impact.

A handyman, builder, and so much more by trade, Jose excelled in his field, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues. However, his true legacy lies in the love and compassion he showed to those fortunate enough to know him. In his free time, Jose was avid in exploring new places whether a restaurant or a new place to shop, enjoyed the outdoors, and created unforgettable memories at family gatherings.

Jose was survived by his mother, Ma. Teresa Montes Ramirez aka Teresa Alvarado, along with his father, Jose De Anda Sr., his wife, Rosa Avella De Anda whom he often called "Alma" as a way of saying my "soul" mate, his closest sister Inez Velasquez whom he called "Oso" in a cherishing way of saying "my bear", his nephew Roger Avella, and the remainder of his family who will forever cherish the memories they created together. His departure leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will live on through the love and laughter he brought into our lives.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Jose will be held on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Castillo Funeral Home located at 520 General McMullen Dr San Antonio TX 78228. Friends and family are invited to join in remembrance and support during this difficult time. The viewing will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with a Rosary service to be held at 6:00 P.M.

May Jose find eternal peace, and may we find solace in the cherished moments we shared with him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
