Jose Angel Dominguez was born on Saturday, June 4, 1932 in Coahuila, Mexico. He was one of five children born to Ricardo and Adelfa Dominguez. On October 11, 1953 he married his soulmate, Amelia Montalvo. To this union, they had 3 beautiful children, Sylvia Anna, Jose Angel and Virginia Ann. Jose proudly served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged on
October 26, 1954. Throughout their marriage, Jose and Amelia traveled and raised their children in Bell Gardens, California before settling in San Antonio, Texas. Jose was a devout Catholic that shared his love of Christ and his gift of an Angelic voice and talent of guitar
playing alongside his life partner with everyone they met. Everyone was a friend to him, he knew no strangers. He quoted and lived by the words, "Happiness was a Choice" and this choice he lived until his final breath. He always had a smile on his face and a story to tell. Education was of the upmost importance to him and he combined his love of God and education in becoming a Catechism teacher to many children. He recited the rosary on a daily basis and never tired of giving thanks. He had a kind ear and a very giving, golden heart. Throughout life, he made many friends and was a very dedicated father and provider to his wife and children. Later in life, he continued sharing his music alongside his life partner in
church choirs, retirement homes and any place or event that extended an invite.
Mr. Jose Angel Dominguez peacefully entered eternal rest on January 10, 2021. He was preceded in passing by his parents, son, Jose Angel Dominguez Jr. and daughter, Sylvia Anna Dominguez. Brother, Ricardo Dominguez and sister, Eloisa Sanchez. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Amelia Dominguez, daughters, Virginia Ann Dominguez and Angela Marie Cruz. Sisters, Yolanda Herrera and Petra Medelez. Several
godchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, friends and Fur grandbaby, Nene will cherish his memory.
