José H. Garcia Jr., age 77, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026.

José was a proud Vietnam Veteran and a longtime general contractor. Throughout his life, he was known for his strength, determination, hard work, and dedication to providing for the people he loved. His work as a contractor was more than a career—it was a reflection of the pride he took in building, creating, and leaving something lasting behind.

Above all, José was a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. His greatest legacy will always be his family and the memories he created with those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his father Jose H Garcia Sr, mother Alicia P Garcia

He is survived by his daughter, Marivele Garcia; his son, Jose H. Garcia III, and daughter-in-law, Yasmine Garcia; and his brother, Fernando P. Garcia, Niece Vanessa Maldonado, great nephew Liam and husband Jeremiah.

He was a proud grandfather to Anthony J. Deleon and Alejandro C. Deleon, and a loving great-grandfather to Anthony Deleon Jr. and Bella Deleon.

Dad, there are no words that can truly express how much you meant to us or how deeply we will miss you. You taught us through your strength, your hard work, and the life you lived. Although our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the years we had with you and for the countless memories we will carry with us.

Your legacy lives on through your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We will remember you, speak of you, and carry your love with us every day.

Thank you for being our father. We love you, Dad, and we will miss you more than words can say.
