Jose Carlos Gonzaba went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2023, in San Antonio, TX.

Services will be held at Castillo Funeral Home on Saturday, June 17, 2023 from 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM.

Jose Carlos "Charlie" Gonzaba was born on September 20, 1962 in San Antonio, TX to Guillermo "Willie" Castillo and Zulema "Dolly" Gonzaba-Castillo. He is survived by his son Christopher Charles Gonzaba, mother, Dolly Castillo, step-father, David Alvarado, brothers, Jason and Mark Castillo, sisters Yvonne Castillo, Kristine De La O, Nancy Eggert, and numerous nieces and nephews.

While we mourn the loss of Charlie, we find comfort in knowing that he has found peace. Though his physical presence may be gone, his spirit will forever live on in our cherished memories. We will forever hold him close in our hearts and honor his memory by carrying forward love, kindness, and joy with the world.
