Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez Jr., a devoted brother, loving family member, and cherished friend, passed away on December 28, 2025, at the age of 56. He was born on October 14, 1969, in San Antonio, Texas. Throughout his life, Jose touched many hearts with his kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength.

As a brother, Jose was a constant source of support, humor, and guidance. He had a unique ability to make those around him feel safe and understood, always willing to listen, help, or simply be present when it mattered most. His bond with his family was unbreakable, and his love was shown not only through words, but through countless everyday acts of care and sacrifice.

Although Jose had no children of his own, he shared an immense love for the children in his family. When he was a young adult he made it a priority to pick up Paul and Amanda from school, never forgetting to treat them to Taco Bell or McDonald's. Later in life, Jose found great joy in caring for his godson, Dylan, as a baby. Jose was also a godfather to his niece Cindy. Jose cherished time spent with his nephew Mikey, happily playing with him outside in the garden and creating memories filled with laughter and love.

Jose was known for his generosity, strong work ethic, compassion, and sense of humor. He enjoyed collecting comics and found joy in life's simple moments—time spent with family, shared laughter, and meaningful conversations. Those who knew him will forever remember his smile, his laughter, and the way he made life better simply by being part of it.

He is survived by his father, Jose Guadalupe Gonzalez; his siblings, Maricela, Pedro, Rafael, Janie, Gerardo, Carlos, Mary Lou, and Paul Anthony; as well as countless nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he adored and who will carry his memory forward with love and gratitude. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maria Gonzalez, and his nephew, Peter James.
