Jose Israel Garcia

May 20, 1934 – November 30, 2024

Jose I. Garcia was called to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, he died peacefully at the age of 90.  Preceded in death by his parents Guadalupe & Fermin Garcia and 7 brothers and sisters.   Jose was born in Laredo, Texas and was the last child born out of 9 children.

Jose is survived by his sister Cecilia G. Perez and many nieces and nephews.  He lived a long happy life and enjoyed watching baseball and football.  He loved spending time with loved ones, especially watching his great, great nieces and nephew running around,  laughing and just having fun.   Jose was a character always making everyone laugh with his jokes, no matter what anyone said to him, he had a comeback that had you laughing.  Jose was loved by his family and he leaves lasting memories and his presence will be missed by us all.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, December 16th, 2024 at Castillo Funeral Home Chapel located at 520 N. General McMullen, San Antonio, Tx 78228.   Visitation from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm.

Burial to follow December 17th, 2024,

Visitation: 8:00 am;  Departure: 10:00 from Castillo Funeral Home to Graveside at San Fernando Cemetery #3 located at 1735 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, Texas.
