Joe passed away at the age of 72, peacefully on Thursday February 10, 2022, surrounded by the love and care of his family. He was born in San Antonio, Texas on October 20, 1949.

Joe served a combined 32 years as a Bexar County Deputy Constable for Precinct #3 in his early career and later with Precinct #4. He was a friend and mentor to many of his fellow Law Enforcement brothers and sisters. Always helping others and sharing his stories.

He married Irma Martinez Ovalle in early September 1974 and together they raised their two children. He always put his family first and worked hard to provide as a loving husband and father. His proudest joy was becoming a grandpa and great grandpa.

Joe is preceded in death by his mother Trinidad Ovalle and brother Johnny Ovalle.

Joe is survived by his loving wife, Irma; daughter Josephine Ovalle; son Joseph Ovalle (Dawn); grandson Anthony D. James (Adriana); granddaughters Janelle N. Ovalle (Manuel) and Celeste Ovalle; great-granddaughter Aubrey Bella James; sister Maria Garza; niece Michelle Ovalle (Natasha); Cooper-family dog; and numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.
