Jose L. "Papa Joe" Quintero March 19, 1928 - March 24, 2023
Jose Landin Quintero passed away to be with our Lord on March 24, 2023 at the age of 95. He was born in Fentress, Texas and passed away surrounded by family and loved ones in Spring Branch, Texas. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents Victoriano Quintero and Antonia Landin Quintero; his beloved wife, Herlinda Q. (Nina) Quintero; siblings: Inez, Francisco, Refugia, and Onesima; daughters: Zulema, Helen, and Antonia; son, Joe and grandson, Robert "Betito" Pedraza. He is survived by children: Victor, Luz Elena, Maria (Arthur), Irene (Rene), Roy (Gabriella), Robert (Andrea), as well as his brother, Victoriano Landin Quintero. His legacy further includes 22 adoring grandchildren, 17 Great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Jose loved to spend time with his family, loved everyone he met and loved to be called by Papa Joe. His favorite past time was following Roy's mariachi band and was adopted by them as his 2 nd family. He was the biggest social butterfly and the family couldn't go anywhere without someone knowing him. His biggest love was for friends and family and he was known for his smile, hugs, and cowboy hats. He truly touched everyone he met.
