Jose Rafael was a very special person to all of his family and the Blanco community, he was a very kind and social man that loved talking to everyone. He loved his children very much and made sure to call each one daily to check in on them. He was very devoted to the Blessed Virgin of Guadalupe and enjoyed watching the television series "La Rosa de Guadalupe". One of Jose's favorite past times was watching the old time black and white films featuring actors, Pedro Infante and Cantinflas. He had a profound love for "Ranchera" music performed by artists like Jorge Negrete, Flor Silvestre, Antonio Aguilar, and Los Tigres del Norte. He loved going to Dairy Queen and ordering a 6 piece chicken basket and sprite. On the weekends he would enjoy spending time with his daughter and her family on the ranch. His contagious laugh will be very missed, but we rest easy knowing all his pain is now replaced with joy as he watches over all of us alongside God. The rosary and viewing will be held at Castillo Mission Funeral Home in San Antonio, TX on March 18th, 2021 at 6:00 PM.
