Jose Luis Solis Duran entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 9th, 2023 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born to the loving Jose Leandro Solis Zamora and Julia Duran Martinez on August 25, 1957 in Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.

Jose Luis, affectionately named "Chino", was a hardworking man who enjoyed life to the fullest. He spent many of his years working as a welder in construction until he was physically unable to. He spent many days at the Blanco Cafe, chatting with his friends and sharing laughs. Despite how many curveballs life threw at him, Chino powered through with the most radiant smile that would instantly uplift all those around him. With all the accomplishments in his life, his greatest achievements were his pride and joy, his three beloved children who are left to continue his legacy.

Heaven has gained a beautiful and treasured soul. He will be missed tremendously.

He is preceded in death by his son, Jose Luis Solis Jr. and grandchild, Joaquin Alan Lopez.

He is survived & greatly loved by his three children: Adriana Solis Garcia (Diego A. Garcia), Alejandro Solis (Anna Dariela Solis), and Jose Luis Solis III (Gracie Rodriguez), in addition to 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; as well as numerous extended friends and family.

Celebration of life viewing will be held on Saturday, October 21, 2023, at Castillo Funeral Home from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm with a service to begin at 3:00 pm.
