Jose T.
Solis
March 19, 1945 – June 3, 2022
Jose T. Solis went to be with our Lord on June 3, 2022, at the age of 77.
Jose was born on March 19, 1945, in San Antonio, Texas to the late Juanita Torres and Carlos Solis Sr. Together Jose and Maria shared a thirty nine-year adventure and marriage together before her passing on March 13, 2018. Jose was a huge Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan. He played an enormous role in the lives of his children and grandchildren who were the pride and joy of his life. Jose enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; great conversations, making someone smile, feeling hopeful for the future of those he knew. As the best role model we knew, he will be immensely missed.
He inspired those around him to be better individuals. His capacity for generosity knew no bounds. He was someone who would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance. Jose loved when family and friends got together. Those times exist in our memories and will be cherished forever. We loved his caring ways, he will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Maria H. Solis; parents, Juanita Torres and Carlos Solis Sr; brother, Carlos Solis Jr; and sister, Evangelina.
He is survived by his daughter, Janie S. Jaramillo; son, Joe Roy Solis; grandchildren, Albert Anthony Jaramillo, Madison Nicole Jaramillo, and Matthew Robert Jaramillo; siblings, Armando Solis, Adolfo Solis, Robert Solis, (Dominga), Gilbert Solis and Soila Solis; in addition to numerous extended family and friends.
There are no words that can express the feelings in our hearts. Thank you for your prayers and support during this difficult time. Your shared memories, comforting condolences and gestures of love are truly appreciated.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 20, 2022, from 3:30 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 pm at Castillo Funeral Home.
