Our beloved mother Josefina Gonzales peacefully departed on October 26, 2022, at the young age of 69.

Josefina, known to all by Josie was born on October 9, 1953, in San Antonio, Texas to the late Gergorio and Senovia Reyes. Anyone who know Josie quickly realized how much she loved her family. She adored her most precious gifts from the Lord her children, Alvino, Oscar, Monica, Jennifer, Jonathan, James, Raymond, Chastity, Alisha, Mary Jane, and Neveah. She was one of the San Antonio Spurs biggest fans. A loving and caring person with a heart full of love and lived life to the fullest. Her generosity knew no bounds and she never hesitated to help anyone with support, encouragement, and guidance. She enjoyed the simple pleasure of life, special times spent together to celebrate life with those she cared about, seeing her loved ones succeed, or feeling hopeful for the future of those she knew. Josie will be dearly missed but she leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished forever. Rest in paradise.

She is preceded in death by her husband Alvino Castillo; son, Alvino Castillo Jr, parents, Gregorio and Senovia Reyes; sisters, Alicia and Junita; brothers, Adam Salinas, Mauro Reyes, and Ray Reyes, Grandson, Alvino Albert Castillo.

She is survived by children, Oscar, Monica, Jennifer, Jonathan, James, Raymond, Chastity, Alisha, Mary Jane, and Neveah; Godson Gabriel Castillo many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Petra, Carmen, Aurora, Perla, Dora, Tina, and Helen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Castillo Funeral Home from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Prayer Service to begin at 6:00 pm.
