Josefina Rivas Guerrero went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2022, at the age of 74.

Josefina was born on April 5, 1948, in Robstown Texas, a western suburb of Corpus Christi. She had many accomplishments in her lifetime, but her greatest achievement was her family. The proud mother of daughters, Mercy Hernandez, Josie Serna, and Stephanie Coronado, and sons, Ramiro Guerrero Jr., and Max Guerrero.

Josefina truly enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; great conversation, making someone smile, feeling hopeful for the future of those she knew. She inspired all around her to be better individuals. Her capacity for generosity knew no bounds. She was someone who would help anyone in need with support, encouragement, and guidance. Josefina will be missed tremendously and while her time in this world must end, her love never will.

She is preceded in death by her son, Max Guerrero; mother, Margarita Gonzalez; sister, Margie Gonzalez; and brother, Juan Rivas.

She is survived by her children, Mercy (Roger) Hernandez, Josie (David) Serna, Ramiro (Veronica) Guerrero Jr., and Stephanie (Ignacio) Coronado; thirteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; in addition to many extended family and friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at 12:00 pm at St. Jude Catholic Church.
