Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother Josefina A. Rodriguez (Josie) passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024 at the age of 81 years old. Josefina was born on June 2, 1942 in the Westside of town in San Antonio Tx.

Josefina is preceded in death by her parents Filemon and Hermina Amaro, her two sons Edward and Juan Herrera, her only sister Emma De La Rosa, and four brothers Filemon Jr., Alejandro, Salvador, and Adam Amaro. She is survived by her loving children, Willie Rodriguez Jr. (Olga) and Sylvia Rodriguez;grandchildren,Leslie Rodriguez, Adrian Rodriguez (Roslyn), and Brianna Rodriguez (Adrian);great grandchildren Layla and Isabella Rodriguez; sibling, Miguel Amaro.

Josefina (Josie) enjoyed listening to Spanish music, playing bingo, and going to the casino. But our favorite memories of all were her making her holiday tamales because she enjoyed this the most. She also loved to watch the Dallas Cowboys games. Josefina will be dearly missed by her whole family and friends.

Services for Josefina A. Rodriguez will be held Monday, February 19, 2024, with a viewing at Castillo Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen Dr. San Antonio, Tx 78228 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Rosary services to start at 6 p.m. A Mass of Remembrance will be held at Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church, 7990 Military Dr W. San Antonio, Tx 78227 at 10:30 a.m. Interment at San Fernando Cemetery III.
