Obituary

Joseph was born on January 3rd 1959 in San Antonio, Tx to Tomas O. Hernandez and Antonia D.L.R. Hernandez. He was a 1977 graduate of John F. Kennedy High School.
On June 8, 1980 he married his childhood sweetheart Terry Hernandez. They were together for 48 years and had two beautiful daughters Janna Nicole Garcia (Gary Garcia) and Jerika Linn Hernandez (Aarron A. Williams).
He was blessed with his grandchildren Noah Lorenzo Garcia and Kennedy Nicole Williams; siblings Tom Hernandez Jr (Laura Hernandez) and Rita Sierra (Felix Sierra); sister in law's Olivia Rodriguez (Daniel Rodriguez Sr.) and Ofelia Oyerbides. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Joseph was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and San Antonio Spurs fan. We ask for friends and family to please wear Spurs or Cowboys attire.  He loved classic rock and enjoyed collecting sports and music memorabilia.
He was a skilled cook who made the best pancakes and loved to bbq while enjoying an ice cold beer.
Most of all he was an incredibly loyal, fun-loving, family man that loved his girls more than anything.
Heaven has gained our most beloved blessing. He will be immensely missed and will live on forever in our hearts.
