Obituary

Josephine Martinez Herrera went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 3, 2022, at the age of 64.

Josephine was born on New Year's Day, January 1, 1958, in San Antonio Texas. She was one of eleven children born to the late Elvira and Jose Martinez. Josephine was married to Gilbert Herrera Jr for 38 years and together the shared a love and bond that never wavered. She was most proud of her most precious gift from the Lord, her son Javen Martinez.

Josephine enjoyed the simple pleasures that life had to offer with a deep faith in the Lord. She loved going to Church to pray for those she knew and loved and had a faith that prepared her for the day she would take the Lord's hand. She happily helped raised all the children in the family and loved to see them grow and flourish. Josephine helped shape the lives of so many and the lessons and love she gave will be remembered forever.

When family and friends came together, she was always there to help celebrate to good times and uplift in the bad moments. She loved to celebrate holidays and special occasions all of which are moments that exists now in our memories. While her time in this world must come to an end, comfort can be found in the legacy she leaves behind and the deep faith she instilled in those she loved that we would meet again.
