Juan Antonio Casas, 84, avid gardener and carpenter and beloved family member, peacefully passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 in his home in San Antonio, Texas.
Juan Antonio Casas and Dolores Casas married on Tuesday, 12 January 1960 and raised three children.
Juan dedicated his life caring for his family, working hard as a brick layer/carpenter for 18 years and working on the field picking crops for almost four decades.
He is survived by his children Juan Antonio Casas Jr., Luis Casas, and his loving grandchildren Rosita Casias, Luis Casas Jr., Ruby Rivera, Jonathan Casas, Isabel Casas, and beloved great grandchildren Georgie Casias, Josie Casas, Isis Marie Munoz, Lexi Perez, Ricky Munoz Jr., Isaiah Joshua Munoz, Luis Casas III, Jonathan Ryder Casas, and adored great great grandchildren Aden Casias, Avery Casias, Susanna Shelby Sanchez, and his siblings Teresa Casas, Joe Casas, Rudulfo Casas, and cousin Danny Brown, and nephews/nieces Carlitos Casas, Linda King, Joe Casas Jr., Jason Casas, Laura King, Lia King, Cindy Casas, Rudolfo Casas Jr., Jacinto Casas, Alexis Casas, and a host of cousins.
Juan was predeceased by his wife Dolores Casas, his daughter Josie Casas, and his father Antonio Jimenez Casas Jr., his mother Teresa Casas, and his brothers Carlitos Casas and Aurelo Casas.
Visitation will be held on Monday, 10 August 2020 from 1:00pm-5:00pm at Castillo Mission Funeral Home located at 520N General 520N General McMullen Dr, San Antonio Tx 78228. Rosary services will be held at 3:00pm.
A funeral procession will depart Castillo Mission Funeral Home at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 for a 10:00 am Mass at St. Clare's Catholic Church, 7701 Somerset Rd. 78211. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private interment will follow at San Fernando Catholic Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples Rd. San Antonio, Texas 78226.
