Juan Montoya Espinosa was born in Chisos, Texas on June 24, 1927.  He was called by his heavenly father on June 28, 2021, after celebrating his 94 ^th birthday just 4 days earlier.

Juan, a hard-working man retiring from the Northside Independent School District after 25 years of service, befriending many colleagues and students along the way.

Juan was known for his great generosity. He was known as Buelito or grandfather of the neighborhood because he had a way of making everyone feel like family.  He opened his doors to those without a home and offered what he had, which were modest-yet honest belongings.

Juan showed his affection with food, cooking menudo, making homemade salsa, having cookouts and always had watermelon and cantaloupe ready to go on a hot summer's day. Nothing made him happier than seeing others enjoy his cooking. He enjoyed traveling to Vegas with his brothers, and loved Chinese food- he called it China. He loved being celebrated on his birthday, where he was spoiled with sweets and mariachi serenades.

Juan was immensely loved by his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

Juan is preceded in death by his wife Gloria Espinosa and son Johnny Espinoza. He is survived by his sons and daughters, Irma Juarez, Olga Rodriguez, Blanca Castro (Samuel), Minerva Zavala, Eloisa Solis (Rick), Ruben Espinoza, and Jerry Espinoza along with his 23 grandchildren 64 great grandchildren, 35 great, great grandchildren as well as extended family and many friends.
