"John" Vidales
April 26, 1949 – February 9, 2021
Juan J. Vidales (John), was called home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on February 09, 2021, at the age of 71, born April 26, 1949 in San Antonio Texas.
He was the loving husband of Kathy M. Vidales. They shared 41 blessed years of marriage.
He was the son of Jesse Vidales and Henrietta Vidales. He attended Brackenridge High School, and then served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. John retired as a retail store manager, he worked for various local and national retail stores for over 35 years.
John enjoyed dedicating his time to the "Ghost Town Survivors", participating in various fundraisers giving back to the Westside community he grew up in. He will be remembered as a caring, devoted, and loving husband, father/grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. John you will be greatly missed and forever be in our hearts.
He is survived by his daughter Priscilla V. Thomas (Donald); grand-children, Adia Villarreal, Bryce Villarreal; sisters, Gloria Solis, Sylvia Perez (Richard), and Dora Martinez (Refugio); various nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by sister, Erlinda Cervantes; brother Ruben Vidales; parents; nephews, Jesse Perez, and James Gomez; and niece Jennifer Martinez.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at Castillo Mission Funeral Home, 520 N. General McMullen Dr., San Antonio, TX 78228 from 3:30p.m. to 7: 30p.m-Rosary at 6p.m.
The funeral service, Wednesday, March 3, 2021 in the Chapel of Castillo Mission Funeral Home at 12 Noon. Departure from the funeral home: 12:30p.m. Graveside service at San Fernando Cemetery III, at 1:30p.m.
