Juan "SKRIP" Castañeda was a caring son, brother, uncle, nephew, and friend. Born in San Antonio May 16, 1986, He left this world suddenly on March 5, 2024, at age 37.

Juan is survived by his parents Sandra Escalante and Jose Villegas; brothers Tony Escalante IV and Jon Mercado; sister Samantha Charles; nephews Tony Escalante V, Jesse Ortega III, Jacoby Escalante, and Thian Jimenez; nieces Abcde Escalante, Delilah Escalante, Jadelyn Mercado and Miannie Jimenez; numerous uncles, aunts, step-siblings, and cousins .

Juan loved music, art, and spending time with the family. He always brought laughter to everyone he came across . His sense of humor and big smile was always pleasant to be around. His talent in music, art,  and construction did not go unnoticed. From the Legoland and SeaLife in downtown San Antonio he helped build to Simpre Ariba Nunca Abajo, your memories will be kept alive .
