Juan
Zertuche
February 6, 1956 – July 22, 2023
Juan Zertuche was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at the blessed age of 67. He passed away peacefully with his loving wife and daughters by his side. Juan was born on February 6, 1956 in San Antonio, Texas to Frank and Eva Zertuche. He is reunited in heaven with his parents and brother Nick Martinez.
Juan started working from an early age, his first job being with Custom Plastics which he worked for over 15 years. There he took pride and created and installed fox photo buildings and many neon signs for San Antonio's most beloved restaurants, bars and business. Most of his work can still be seen to this day all over the city which include the most famous Broadway 50/50 in Alamo Heights and the University Bowl off of I10. Juan then went on to spend the next 29 years of his life working as a building engineer for some of the biggest commercial realtors in Texas. Where again he took pride in running and maintaining commercial properties all over the city. He was always behind the scenes but his presence can truly be felt all over San Antonio. He looked over properties such as The Wonderland Mall of Americas where he prepared the annual Jazzfest every summer. The Alamo Quarry Market which he prepared for the grand opening and also helped designed and set up the holiday decorations every Christmas, to countless other shopping centers and medical professional buildings.
In 1982 Juan went on to marry the love of his life, Linda K. Zertuche and just celebrated 40 years of marriage. He had 3 daughters who he loved very much. One thing can be said about him is he devoted his whole life to his family and although his work took up much of his time and energy, he still found time for us. He made it to every game, play and went over the top on every holiday to create lasting memories for his family. In his later years he got to experience it all over again with his grandchildren and great grandchildren who stole his heart. He shared his love of biking, barbecuing, watching the spurs and his great passion for fishing.
Juan is loved and will be truly missed by his loving wife Linda K. Zertuche; daughters Christina Caspers (Jaisen), Amanda P. Valdez (Martin) and Alyssa Zertuche (Victor Renteria); grandchildren Victoria Valdez, Aiden Juan Miguel Caspers, Emily Renteria, Riley Renteria and Hailey Renteria; great grandchildren Alexander Valdez and Iker Valdez; sisters Rosie Cardenas and Rebecca Zertuche as well as extended family members and friends. Heaven has gained our most beloved blessing. He will live forever in our hearts.
