Juana Concepcion Vargas (Cora), of San Antonio, Texas was called home by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at the age of 73.

Juana had a heart of gold and always made everyone feel loved.

She was the Mother of four children, Baby Ruiz, Mary Theresa Ruiz, Ruben Ruiz Jr, and Rafael Ruiz. She cherished her family, including her loyal dog Molly. Juana was like a second Mother to many of her children's friends.

Juana is preceded in death by her parents Pablo Vargas and Concepcion Delgado Vargas, her brothers Pablo Vargas Jr and Henry Vargas, as well as the Father of her children Ruben M. Ruiz.

Juana is survived by her siblings Fred (Esther) Vargas, Johnny (Ofelia) Vargas, Gilbert Vargas, Anita (Mario) Polanco, sister in law Teresa Vargas, daughter in law Sophia LaQue, and long time companion and friend Roland Treviño. She also leaves behind her precious grandchildren who meant the world to her, Katy (Pablo), Ruben III, Ginavieve, Rafael Jr and great grandchildren Jayden and Nevaeh Munoz.

Juana will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 25th, 2022 starting at 3:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Family and friends will meet on Monday, September 26th, 2022 for a 10:00 a.m. funeral mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help (618 S Grimes St, San Antonio, TX 78203). Services will conclude after Mass on Monday, September 26th, 2022.
