Juanita J. Saldaña, born on August 22, 1946, was called home to be with our Lord on October 7, 2023, at the age of 77.  She is reunited in Heaven with her parents Elena Mendoza Jimenez and Antonio Jimenez; her husband, Jesus Saldaña, and granddaughter, Victoria Elizabeth Hernandez.  Juanita is loved and will be greatly missed by her children, Jesus Saldaña III (Debra), Richard Saldaña (Leticia), Margie S. Alvarado (Andres), Elena S. Torres (Carlos), Tony Saldaña (Roxanne), and Sonia S. Muniz (Alvaro); grandchildren Michael, Brandon, Jessie, Justine, Nicholas, Jonathan, Nathan, Mariah, Caleb, Jacob, Madyson and Zoe; great-grandchildren Mia, Michael, Klaus, Jazelle, Marie, and Marcus; sister Lupe Rodriguez (Ruben) as well as other loving relatives and friends.

Juanita was a loving wife, sister, and mother. She was a stay at home mother who took care of her children and grandchildren. If you didn't find her in the kitchen making tortillas or cooking, you would find her watching her favorite shows on TV sitting on her spot at the corner of the couch. Along with her snacks such as M&M or Chicharrones and you can't forget her pink Conchas. Her love of Bill Miller's tea in her favorite Dallas Cowboys cup was always full placed on top of her tv dinner table. She loved playing Loteria with her family and hit the jackpot every time. Juanita was full of love and joy. She had a heart of GOLD.  Her beautiful smile and caring ways will always be remembered. She will forever live in our heart.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:00 p.m. at Castillo Funeral Home.  On Wednesday, October 18, 2023, a Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the Castillo Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery II.
